An Introvert’s Soapbox On Education

Welcome to Null Space where discussions on teaching, public education, and career experiences as well as materials are the focus. Every teacher has their own idea of how teaching should look which in turn reflects the idea of how students (including ourselves) should learn. More importantly than what the teacher thinks is how the student progresses with or even without the teachers help. What are attributes of the teacher that students find learning the material easier or more appealing? What teaching methods do students despise? I will share my thoughts on such questions from my experiences as an engineering student as well as having the perspective of teaching various subjects. A Journey to Purposeful Teaching

My name is Nathan. I am most interested in finding ways to make the learning process feel valuable. I graduated from BYU in electrical engineering and started to purse a graduate degree in computer engineering but fell in love with teaching math and computers. I’m currently pursing a degree in math education at UVU. I hope to provide path to anyone interested in engineering regardless of background. I created this website in two parts:
